Flood Report 2

As soon as it got daylight everyone headed out. Mark took the kids out to the bus stop and then decided the road would be too bad when it was time to pick them up, so he brought them back. I guess we will be sort of trapped for a couple of days. I'll keep everybody posted during the day. Ginger is out of the valley, and we're not totally sure if she can get back in this evening.

It's the water to the left of the road that has us worried.
When it goes over the road it will start coming into our yard.

Flooding again

Well we got another floow watch again yesterday. Besides all the snow we have had it has been raining for 2 days and leaving tons of rain and melting all the snow that was here. We have went from snow packed to soppy wet ground. It started flooding at 5:00 am this morning. Ginger got out in the Excursion this morning, but she said the rest of us might have a problem. It is supposed to crest tomorrow morning at 7:00 am. Mark is supposed to take the kids to school, but we'll see what happens. Penny also has to go to work, but I believe Matt is coming to take her. I'll get pics of the flooding when the sun comes up. We're still in our winter mode and it doesn't get light until after 8:00 am and gets dark about 5:00 pm. Here are some pics of the kids that I have been taking.

Debbie's Big Adventure - Well 2 days worth anyway

Well today is Debbie's last day here. Last year she ended up coming up to a flood. This year it snowed. We only had 2 days of going to see places, because the rest we were pretty much snowed in. (I think she enjoyed that also) Just kicking back and doing nothing but watching Judge Judy. Our only excursions were a one day trip to Astoria, Oregon and a second day trip to Seattle. The trip to Oregon was cloudy and rainy, and the trip to Seattle was colder than the dickens. (Debbie also had a little fall at the Submarine museum and bunged up her knee. She has the worst luck with falling) Anyway, I hope she had a fun Christmas. I feel bad that we didn't get to show her more of the North East, but maybe next year???

The troll under the bridge

This was actually taken this summer. We couldn't find a parking space and it was so cold we didn't want to get out to take a new picture, so this one has Cody in it. The troll is an awesome thing. The volkswagon under his hand is real. It was actually in an Elvis Presley movie a long time ago. Mark says he is in "10 Things I Hate About You" also. He was also painted up (graffitied) nice and pretty today

The New Year

Well it is 2009 now. Wow! How time flies. We had a big new years party at our house last night. It was pretty wild. Lots of people, lots of food, lots of kids. It was supposed to rain all night, but instead it snowed again. We have another 3-4 inches. It was just finally getting melted. Oh well. So much has happened in the last couple of years. I don't know if I should look forward to a new year or sort of dread it. I guess I'm pretty much always up for a new adventure, and that's what the new year holds for me I guess.
