Baby Chickens and Hunters Education

We have 18 new chickens. They were in the house for a while, but then Wayne moved them out to the garage. We read the other night about how they need to be treated just like kids. You talk to them and play with them, and take them on little field trips. Wayne has been taking them out on the lawn and letting them eat worms, etc. They are pretty funny. The other 6 chickens has been kind of skimpy on eggs for about 2 months now, but they are back laying in full force again. I love having the eggs. Now we just need to get a cow and we can have milk. One more thing on our list of things to do before the world blows a gasket. Emilie and Penny completed their hunters education class last week. We did our cooking class at the library this last week also and it went very well. We were supposed to cook stuff from scratch. I made a recipe book that shows you how to cook stuff from scratch. I've been wanting to put one together for years and just never have. Now it is done. Conol and Kael have started in Little League. They have had mostly rain out days and so practices have been at a school under a roof. Hopefully by the time they start games the rain will have slowed down some.
